About this siteDear Reader, When the recent outbreak of Arab violence began in Israel in late September 2000, I was deluged with worried e-mails, letters and phonecalls from friends and relatives overseas, anxious to know what was happening in Israel. About a week later I wrote a letter to friends and family describing the situation from a personal perspective. They expressed great interest in the events in Israel, so I started writing update letters every few days to keep them informed. I soon discovered that my friends and family were passing on my letters to their friends and family, and so on. Soon I was receiving requests for information from people I didn't know. It seemed there were many people who wanted to read about events in Israel from the perspective of someone who lives there, not a journalist or a politician. I thought it might be helpful if the letters were available on a website. May we all merit to see more peaceful days. Leiah |
